Energy is everywhere. Every being and everything are composed of energy. Energy is not concrete, solid, or static. Energy is constantly vibrating and moving, flowing effortlessly from one place and/or state to another. Energy cannot be created or destroyed but has the ability to be transformed…ALL WAYS. Energy is essential to life and influences our thoughts, words, and deeds. Developing an awareness of energy and how it impacts you directly/indirectly is key to intuitive development.

Sekhem is the kemetic term for energy. It represents the supreme “life force” energy that interconnects us all and binds the universe together. Our Sekhem is associated with our determination, drive, motivation, and will to live life. Our Sekhem fluctuates depending upon our behavior, character and thought patterns. All things that affect our senses (what we hear, feel, see, smell, taste, and touch) affect our Sekhem/vibrationIncrease your awareness, Increase your vibration. Be mindful of the things you eat, the things you touch, the things you listen to, and the things you watch. Be discerning of your environment and your relationships. High frequency energy includes happiness, harmony, joy, love, and peace. Low frequency energy includes anger, disappointment, doubt, fear, jealousy and shame. Consume and surround yourself with things that raise your vibration. A balanced Sekhem gives you the ability to create a life, consisting of all you desire that is in alignment with your highest self.

Personal Energy – Know thyself

Your personal energy is your authentic identity. It is the foundation of who you are and stimulates the core intuition that guides your life. To truly know self means to become fully aware of self – both your divine essence and human nature. When you understand the levels of your personal energy, along with how to manage and protect it, you can create a better world for yourself. Familiarize yourself with the following energy dimensions that influence the strength of your Sekhem:

Physical Energy The energy that supports your capacity to do physical work and transform your dreams/visions into reality. Stored within your physical body, it consists of bone, blood, breath, skin, and organs. It is the energy created by the body’s intake of nutrients and oxygen.

Emotional Energy The energy derived from your emotional state and connectedness with others. This energy is seen and felt by others even when you don’t intend for it to or want others to detect it. It impacts your quality of emotional output. This energy whether positive or negative, respectively has a restorative or draining effect on yourself and others.

Mental Energy The energy associated with your mental processes that influence your thinking, problem solving, and decision making. This energy is created from your belief systems and foster your ideas. It is the energy that you use to assimilate and sort out your thoughts. It’s the energy that stems from your personal truths and/or your perceptions based on your experiences. This energy greatly affects your ability to think effectively.

Spiritual Energy The energy of purpose and passion. This energy greatly influences your character and principles. When you understand your purpose in life and seek to make a meaningful impact on others, this energy can be a significant driving force in your life. Spiritual energy has the greatest effect on all other energy dimensions.

Cultivating Your Sekhem

Cultivating your Sekhem goes far beyond your daily practice of eating, sleeping, and cleansing your physical body. It is the art of “tuning in” to your higher self and the higher forces of Divinity so that you may live the truth of your being. It is consciously owning who you are and expressing who you are. It is the awareness and knowing that there is no separation between you and Divinity. It is understanding that you are an embodiment of God and that all things are possible.
